Little Scholars Child Care is presently offering an after-school care for children 5 – 12 years of age, and a day care for children 3 -5 years of age.
The focus of Little Scholars Child Care is on the complete development of the whole child spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically and educationally.
The first priority is given to the teaching and development of Christian character. Please keep this ministry in your prayer.

$30.00 per day full-time

PRESCHOOL
$175.00 per month
An additional charge of $100.00 for extended hours
SCHOOL AGE CARE
Government is providing partial funding for all families of the Sunshine Coast $11.00 per day without pick-up

OUR HISTORY
Sechelt Community Church began Little Scholars child care with the School Age program in January 1997. This program provides care for children 6-12 years of age, from the many schools in our area.
The success of the school age program and the growing need for child care led to the opening of the day care / preschool November 5th 2001, for children 21/2-5 years of age.
Through much prayer the Lord’s provision was seen in generous donations from the Provincial Government, The Vancouver Foundation and the Sunshine Coast Credit Union. We were able to make the necessary renovations to start the day care and provide professionally designed play yards for both programs.
OUR STANDARDS
We are a licensed facility. Our program is designed to promote Christian morals and values as well as integrate with provincial requirements. On an on going basis we continue to strive to surpass the requirements of the Child Care Government Licensing
OUR PROGRAM
We are pleased to welcome you to our centre.
We hope your child will enjoy the program and that you feel confident that your child will be cared for and will develop through the spiritual, emotional, social, physical and educational areas of the whole child. Emergent teaching methods will be used bringing many activities, experiences, and new relationships to your child.
We have individual free play with toys, games, computer, art, dress-up, dramatic plays, character building stories and a developmentally appropriate phonics program. We also have from time to time, swimming, hiking, ice skating, and neighborhood walks.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
Childcare of high quality can only result when parents and staff communicate and plan together. We will do our best to be able to talk with you and hope you will feel free to ask questions, make suggestions and voice any concerns you may have.
We also hope that you can stay for a few minutes when you bring your child, to get to know his friends and see how he plays with them. When it is possible for you to spend longer periods visiting and observing the program, please feel free to arrange this with the staff.
